Randall R. Norton, CPA CFP®, CLU, ChFC, CSAMr. Norton is the president and owner of Norton Accounting & Consulting, P.C., a CPA firm in Saginaw, Michigan originally founded in 1980. He has dedicated himself to the financial services industry through extensive education and training. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, he is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, a Chartered Life Underwriter, a Chartered Financial Consultant and a Certified Senior Advisor. He has also been a licensed insurance and investment agent since 1986. The firm focuses on assisting individuals and closely held business owners increase their net worth through investment, tax and financial planning strategies. The firm has over 1,000 clients and crosses all ranges of income and assets. Randy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Financial Service Professionals where he was president of the Saginaw Valley from 1997 - 2004. As a member of the Michigan Association of CPAs, he served on the Employee Benefits Consulting Committee. Randy supports numerous non-profit organizations including local schools, libraries, Michigan colleges and the Saginaw County Medical Society Foundation. His favorite hobbies are detailing his 1956 Thunderbird and chasing a golf ball. |  |
Todd Hutchinson, Sr. Staff AccountantTodd joined Norton Accounting & Consulting, P.C. in January, 1996. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a business degree, majoring in accounting. His background includes operational and entrepreneurial responsibility for family and personally owned business. [He knows what it’s like to "be in the trenches".] Todd provides monthly accounting and tax services to a large number of business clients. He also provides extensive income tax return preparation services to individuals, partnerships, and corporations. |  |
Susan Wade, Staff AccountantSusan started with the firm in October, 1993. She graduated from Northeastern School of Business and came to Norton Accounting with extensive experience from employment with two CPA firms. She provides a high level of attention to providing monthly accounting services to a broad cross section of clients. Susan also provides detailed services to one of our affiliates, Administration Services, Inc. She is the Chief Claims Processor and primarily responsible for all COBRA Administration services which ASI provides. For over 24 years, Susan has supported The Boy Scouts of America through personal involvement as a den leader, trainer and program director for Cub Scout Resident Camp. She continues that support in her current position of District Cub Scout Program Chairman. |  |
Derek Pavlik, Staff Accountant; Software SupportDerek started with Norton Accounting & Consulting, P.C. in September, 1997. He graduated from Central Michigan University majoring in accounting with a minor in economics. After graduation from CMU, he worked as a Software Support Technician for a major accounting and tax preparation software company. While he provides monthly accounting and tax services to business clients, he also provides software and hardware support to both Norton Accounting and clients who need assistance with their computer applications. In his off-duty hours, he enjoys hockey, golf and playing/writing/recording music. |

Anita Fick, Executive Assistant & Office CoordinatorAnita came to Norton Accounting & Consulting, P.C. in September, 2003. She has a background in a variety of client service positions, most recently with a major insurance agency office. Anita provides secretarial and receptionist support to the staff and assists Mr. Norton with a variety of responsibilities. She is the staff member with primary responsibility for payroll processing for hundreds of client employees. When "tax season" arrives, Anita is also occupied with coordinating the tax return appointments for over 1,000 clients. She provides the copying, assembling and mailing for hundreds and hundreds of tax returns. Anita also assists with the Claims Service provided by our affiliate, Administration Services, Inc. She provides the review, input and reimbursement for a variety of claims. Cheryl Brown, Staff Accountant Our most recent staff addition, Cheryl joined Norton Accouting & Consulting, P.C. in May, 2010. She provides accounting services and assists Mr. Norton with various consulting projects. Since 1999, Cheryl served as the Chief Accountant and Business Manager of a large mid-Michigan non-profit organization. Prior to that, she gained over 10 years of experience providing clerical, bookkeeping, billing, transcription and office manager services to medical offices. She grew up in southern California and attended college there. Cheryl also spent time in Prescott, Arizona, moving to Michigan as a result of a husband who was raised in the Pontiac area. She has enjoyed numerous family vacations to Hawaii, her favorite vacation spot, and would entertain a return trip there anytime. |
